Meghan Trainor is turning off the microphone.<\/p>\n
The singer announced in an Instagram Story that she is canceling her Get in Girl tour. \u201cThis is the right decision for my family and me right now,\u201d Trainor explained Thursday, saying that the decision came \u201cafter a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations.\u201d <\/p>\n
\u201cBalancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take on right now, and I need to be home and present for each and all of them at this time,\u201d Trainor wrote. <\/p>\n
Trainor apologized to her fans, but promised that she will be \u201cback soon.\u201d She also shared that she \u201ccan\u2019t wait\u201d for fans to hear her new album, \u201cToy With Me,\u201d which will be released April 24. <\/p>\n
\u201cI know this will come as a disappointment to my fans, and I am so sorry to let you down,\u201d Trainor said. \u201cI\u2019m endlessly grateful for your love and support always.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trainor announced<\/a> the Get in Girl tour in November and was set to kick it off June 12 in Clarkston, Mich. The tour included stops at Madison Square Garden in New York City and the United Center in Chicago and was to conclude at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. <\/p>\n Social media users speculated<\/a> that the tour\u2019s cancellation was due to low ticket sales, with Ticketmaster seating charts in some stadiums showing very few seats sold. Influencer and Trainor\u2019s close friend Chris Olsen took to TikTok<\/a> to push back against the \u201cpredictably vicious\u201d online comments about the tour. <\/p>\n \u201cThis is a bigger conversation than just her and people\u2019s feelings toward Meghan,\u201d Olsen said. \u201cThe question that always comes up for me is \u2018Why? And what is the end goal?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The singer welcomed her third child<\/a> with her husband, Daryl Sabara, via surrogate in January. Trainor, who has been candid about her struggles during her first two pregnancies, explained on Instagram<\/a> that she was \u201cforever grateful to all the doctors, nurses, teams who made this dream possible.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe had endless conversations with our doctors in this journey and this was the safest way for us to be able to continue growing our family,\u201d Trainor wrote. <\/p>\n
