Life is better in alignment. That\u2019s the mission statement of Rebecca (Bekki) Williams, owner of Atlas Aligned Upper Cervical Chiropractic in Post Falls.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Working in the field for more than a decade, Williams knew early on she would one day help people achieve their optimal health.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have always known that I wanted to be a doctor of some kind, even since I was 5 years old,\u201d Williams said. \u201cMy mom had migraines when I was a child, so we spent a lot of time nursing her. I\u2019d come home from school, and she’d be lying in bed with all the lights off, or in the bathroom throwing up.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Williams said her mom would often have a migraine hangover from the medication that she had to take.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI really knew that I wanted to find a way to fix her and not just understand why it was happening,\u201d Williams said. \u201cThat\u2019s what got me into healthcare.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

When she learned about chiropractic, Williams said she knew that\u2019s what she wanted to do.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat appealed to me is that it didn\u2019t involve drugs or surgery,\u201d she said. \u201cWe can help people to allow their body to heal itself, which I really believe is what our body is designed to do. We figure out why is it not doing that and then fix the root cause of the problem.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

She enrolled at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Wash., for her undergraduate work in Chiropractic Medicine, and continued her studies at Life Chiropractic College in West Hayward, Calif.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After graduating, Williams worked for an upper cervical chiropractic clinic in Spokane for 10 years before opening her own practice in Post Falls in April.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe provide a non-invasive approach that focuses on the relationship between the head and neck,\u201d Williams said. \u201cWe restore balance and alignment with no bending, twisting or popping.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Williams said she is one of the 76 board-certified upper cervical chiropractors worldwide.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“It allows me to take a deeper dive to get people the best patient care that they can,\u201d Williams said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Williams also has the latest technology at her fingertips.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe use a CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) machine that takes a 3D view of the head and neck. It provides a great resolution so we can see exactly what\u2019s going on inside,\u201d Williams said. \u201cIt also does a video X-ray, which is quite unique.”<\/p>\n

Williams said she also treats people with lower back pain and sciatica and does what she calls \u201cinfant adjusting.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m Webster certified \u2014 which is the specific technique for pregnancy \u2014 I work a lot with moms who are expecting,\u201d Williams said. \u201cSo, we do the infant baby’s first adjustment, which I recommend doing at about two weeks old.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

She offers a post-treatment resting suite to give patients some downtime after their adjustment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has zero-gravity chairs designed to put your body in the least stressed position,\u201d Williams said. \u201cYou really get an opportunity to just rest and relax for about 15 to 20 minutes.”<\/p>\n

The charge for an initial evaluation is $200.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Williams accepts insurance.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Construction is also underway on Rooted Social House at 310 N. Spokane St. The project is described as “an elevated space offering food, coffee, tea and entertainment in a social house setting.” A completion date for Rooted has not been announced. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022 An AutoZone auto parts shop is under construction at U.S. 95 and Dakota Avenue in Hayden, next to Dirty Birdy Car Wash. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022 Spokane-based Golden Rule Brake is under construction at 3627 N. Government Way, Coeur d’Alene. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Habit Burger & Grill is taking the place of the former Pizza Hut at 212 W. Appleway Ave. The chain, known for its “Charburgers,” is eyeing an opening sometime in late spring or early summer 2026. This location will be the first for North Idaho.\u00a0<\/p>\n
