\n\tFollowing mounting rumors that Madonna<\/a> would perform at this year\u2019s Coachella, the pop icon returned to the desert during Weekend Two of\u00a0Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>\u2018s headlining performance on Friday night. <\/p>\n

\n\tMadonna appeared in the middle of the stage as Carpenter sang \u201cJuno\u201d \u2014 the fan favorite moment when she would traditionally \u201carrest\u201d a different celebrity on her Short \u2018n Sweet tour. Amid a frenzy of flashing lights and backup dancers, the pair sashayed through a duet of the 1990 hit classic \u201cVogue,\u201d before delivering a new song seemingly from Madonna\u2019s upcoming\u00a0Confessions\u00a0II.<\/p>\n

\n\tMadonna then took the mic to slow things down and addressed the thousands of fans in the crowd and those live-streaming from home. \u201cSabrina, thank you so much for inviting me on your show,\u201d Madonna said. \u201cNo thanks needed, Madonna. You can have whatever you want,\u201d a clearly thrilled Carpenter replied.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI have a few things I wanna get off my chest, 20 years ago today, I performed at Coachella. I was in the dance tent, and it was the first time I performed,\u00a0Confessions on the Dance Floor\u00a0Part One in America,\u201d Madonna continued. \u201cThat was such a thrill for me, so you can imagine what a thrill it is for me to be back 20 years later in the same boots, the same corset, the jacket I had on earlier, the same Gucci jacket. So, it\u2019s like a full circle moment, very meaningful for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter a surprise astrology lesson, Madonna advised, \u201cSo in all circumstances for the rest of the month, let\u2019s try to get along,\u201d adding, \u201cthe great thing about music is that it brings people together, am I right? It\u2019s the one place that people have to put their differences aside, put their shit down, and just everybody have a good time together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSo, I am thrilled to be a part of that healing experience, bringing people together,\u201d she said, before launching into a breathtaking duet of \u201cLike a Prayer\u201d with Carpenter.<\/p>\n

\n\tMadonna\u2019s appearance at Coachella arrives after the recent announcement of the highly anticipated sequel to her 2005 LP\u00a0Confessions on a Dance Floor,\u00a0titled\u00a0Confessions II<\/a>. The album is set to come out July 3.<\/p>\n
