Ryan Reynolds\u00a0has heaped praise on his wife<\/a>\u00a0Blake Lively\u00a0over how she is dealing with her court battle against\u00a0Justin Baldoni\u00a0behind the scenes.<\/p>\n

Lively, 38, filed lawsuit against her costar and director, 42, in December 2024 following their work on 2024 movie It Ends With Us, alleging sexual harassment, breach of contract and retaliation among other claims. (He has denied all the claims.)<\/p>\n

Speaking on the\u00a0Today\u00a0show\u2019s\u00a0Sunday Sitdown Live with Willie Geist<\/a>, on Sunday, April 19, Reynolds gushed over how the Gossip Girl alum is coping with the legal battle.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou really see the illusion behind so much of this stuff, digital life versus real life,\u201d the Deadpool star, 49, said. \u201cReally, without getting into too much, I have never in my life been more proud of my wife. People have no idea what is really going on.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never been more proud of someone in my life, with that level of integrity that they bring with them in everything they do,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

As Star\u00a0recently reported<\/a>, a judge dismissed 10 of the 13 claims made by the actress against the Jane the Virgin alum, including allegations of sexual harassment.<\/p>\n

Despite that, three of Lively\u2019s claims, including breach of contract and retaliation, are still on the table and a trial date has been set for May 18.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will never stop doing my part in fighting to expose the systems and people who seek to harm, shame, silence and retaliate against victims,\u201d the A Simple Favor star vowed in a Monday, April 6 Instagram<\/a> post.<\/p>\n

Even if she wanted to stop fighting, \u201cwhich she doesn\u2019t,\u201d a source told Star<\/a>, \u201cRyan wouldn\u2019t hear of it.\u00a0This is a matter of principle for him. He\u2019s furious that his wife was mistreated and he\u2019s not going to let it stand.\u201d<\/p>\n

The If actor is \u201cdoing everything he can\u201d to help keep his wife\u2019s spirits<\/a> up, the source added. \u201cHe\u2019s constantly reassuring her this is just one setback and not the end of the road because there are still parts of the case moving forward and a lot that has yet to play out.\u201d<\/p>\n
