Every opening he went to, every party and studio visit was documented with his Olympus Stylus. Over the years, he developed roll after roll of film, and he found a processing place in Los Angeles to turn them into slides. \u201cI knew nothing about photography,\u201d he tells the writer-director <a href=\"https:\/\/svatekfilm.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">G. Taken together, they make up a scrapbook of the art world before it became a sprawling trade floor for blue-chip tangible assets. Back then, it was rambunctious and pure, a \u201cvillage of pirates and dirty shamans,\u201d as Jerry puts it in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vulture.com\/article\/jerry-saltz-new-york-art-world-1990s.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">introduction to his photo album<\/a>. The \u201990s, he says, \u201cwas a tremendous period of great magic, of great energy, imagination.
