Limp Bizkit<\/a> frontman Fred Durst<\/a> has unveiled a plan to start a gathering for artists routinely snubbed by mainstream festivals and awards ceremonies. The reveal came on X\/Twitter, when Durst replied to a post by rapper Lil Wayne<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lil Wayne\u2019s post read, \u201cIt\u2019s truly a humbling experience when events like Coachella & the Grammys come around & like clockwork, I\u2019m uninvited & uninvolved. I appreciate my position or space I hold in ya heart & mind if so bc you\u2019re the humbling experience that\u2019s timeless & 4dat I thk u. Iaintshitwithoutu.\u201d<\/p>\n

Durst responded, \u201cLet\u2019s start our own experience gathering and our own acknowledgment event to welcome all of the uninvited \u2013 i\u2019ve got a couple ideas i\u2019ve been working on for quite some while now \u2013 happy to elaborate if ever interested \u2013 sending good vibes.\u201d<\/p>\n

There is a history of such festival bills in America. The initial wave of nu-metal acts were often left out of bigger festivals, leading to the founding of such tour packages as Korn\u2019s Family Values. Meanwhile, Ozzfest was famously founded by Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne after they were told by Lollapalooza organizers that Ozzy was no longer relevant.<\/p>\n

Durst already has a history himself with such bills. Bizkit\u2019s own Loserville tour bills over the past few years have highlighted much-maligned artists like Corey Feldman and Riff Raff.<\/p>\n
