{"id":402407,"date":"2026-04-20T22:32:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-20T22:32:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/402407\/"},"modified":"2026-04-20T22:32:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-20T22:32:08","slug":"jim-parsons-would-not-return-for-big-bang-theory-reboot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/402407\/","title":{"rendered":"Jim Parsons Would Not Return for Big Bang Theory Reboot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/jim_parsons\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jim Parsons<\/a> has hung up Sheldon Cooper\u2019s lab coat for the last time.<\/p>\n<p>After portraying the award-winning physicist on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/the_big_bang_theory\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Big Bang Theory<\/a> for 12 seasons between 2007 and 2019, the actor revealed he is unlikely to ever return to the role.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t believe I would do a reboot,\u201d Jim said on the April 17 episode of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=MYwNiWKeGdg\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The View<\/a>. \u201cI can\u2019t say I miss him, partly because\u2014especially 12 years on a TV show where they\u2019re writing for this specific actor\u2014there\u2019s a lot of me in that. Not the genius part, but there\u2019s a lot of me in that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Even though the 53-year-old\u2014who won four Emmy Awards for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for playing Sheldon\u2014has no plans to reprise the role, he recognizes the impact of the beloved character.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a lot about his qualities and just who he was that I still carry with me,\u201d he continued. \u201cThe longer it goes on, I\u2019m more and more surprised when people approach me about it. Not because I\u2019m stupid, but because I\u2019m like, oh, it makes sense, but I\u2019m just not thinking about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Titan\u00edque actor added of the fan interaction, \u201cIt\u2019s always really sweet.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Jim Parsons has hung up Sheldon Cooper\u2019s lab coat for the last time.
