There may be trouble in paradise for Haylie Duff\u2019s relationship with ex-fianc\u00e9 Matt Rosenberg, but it could lead to reconciliation with her sister, Hilary Duff<\/a>. Fans are speculating that the tide may be changing for the sisters\u2019 feud, and the reason makes a lot of sense.<\/p>\n

The Napoloen Dynamite alum and Rosenberg \u201cended their relationship around the first of the year,\u201d a rep for the actress told Page Six<\/a> on April 20. \u201cShe asks for privacy at this time in protection of her young daughters,\u201d the statement continued, referring to Haylie and Rosenberg\u2019s daughters Ryan, 10, and Lulu, 7. Rosenberg, who Haylie has been engaged to for 12 years, may have fueled the rift between Haylie and Hilary, according to fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe this can bring her and @HilaryDuff<\/a> back together,\u201d one person wrote on X.<\/a> Another wrote<\/a>, \u201cIsn\u2019t he the reason Hilary doesn\u2019t talk to her.\u201d Someone else noted<\/a>, \u201cOh the Duff sisters might reunite finally then.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we see Hilary and Haylie this year together, we\u2019ll know that he was the reason\u2026,\u201d one person wrote on X<\/a>, adding, \u201cAlexa, play \u2018We don\u2019t talk\u2019 by Hilary Duff,\u201d referencing the track from Duff\u2019s album luck\u2026 or something about Haylie. In the song, she sings, \u201cI\u2019m not sure when it happened, not even sure what it was about \/ If I did something different, would you feel something different? Would you at least let me hear you out?\u201d<\/p>\n

DuexMoi previously reported that Hilary\u2019s husband Matthew Koma and Rosenberg \u201cdon\u2019t get along,\u201d per Daily Mail<\/a>, which reportedly escalated tensions between the sisters. If that\u2019s true, maybe this breakup is the change Haylie needs to reconcile with Hilary.<\/p>\n

In a November 2025 interview with Rolling Stone<\/a>, Duff talked about the themes behind the songs on her latest album, released in Feb. 2026. \u201cI\u2019m ready to fill in the blanks and share with people and connect with them on the level of now,\u201d she said. \u201cMy fans have gone through a lot of the same things, whether that\u2019s complicated relationships, anxiety, raising kids, divorces, trying to find yourself in adulthood [or] family drama.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hopefully, we\u2019ll get a new song about their reconciliation next album!<\/p>\n
