Law Roach’s Romantic Love And Dating Comments: Reactions<\/p>\n

In our lives, relationships come in many forms. And on multiple occasions, Law Roach has explained why romantic partnerships<\/a> aren\u2019t something he\u2019s too concerned about.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t really date,\u201d the iconic stylist said during a 2023 appearance<\/a> on Logo’s Spill with Johnny Sibilly. \u201cThis is gonna sound really sad, but I always wanted to say this in a public space. I don\u2019t think I was put on this Earth for romantic love.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reiterating that he doesn\u2019t date and has \u201cnever\u201d been in a romantic relationship, he continued: \u201cI\u2019ve always felt, even growing up, that I was put on this Earth to be adored and for me to help people and to love people. I don\u2019t really feel or desire romantic love.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI know that sounds sad in a way, but ever since I was a little boy, I\u2019ve always had that in my head,\u201d he added, explaining that any time he\u2019s tried out dating in the past, \u201cI\u2019m reminded that I don\u2019t think this is for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though these comments are years old, this particular interview clip has resurfaced online<\/a> in the past few days, and it seems Law\u2019s experience with love still resonates with many people…<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s nice to see other people are out there that feel the same way as me,\u201d one Reddit user<\/a> wrote in response to the video. \u201cAnytime I tell people I\u2019m not interested in romantic connections, I get looked at like I\u2019m crazy, or \u2018You\u2019ll find it one day!\u2019 (No jan, I won\u2019t find it because I\u2019m not looking for it).\u201d<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s not just people who\u2019ve experienced the same feelings who are in support of Law’s comments. One user wrote, \u201cI\u2019m happily married for 20 years and I love that he is saying this. Not everyone wants romantic partnerships and that\u2019s OK!\u201d<\/p>\n

Interestingly, someone said that Law\u2019s comments helped them expose \u201can internal bias I didn’t know I had.\u201d \u201cMy gut reaction was to feel sad for him, then dismissed it, with a \u2018he obviously just hasn’t found the right person yet & once he does he will realize what he has been missing.\u2019 But seriously, who TF am I to put sadness on someone who was sharing they are happier with their choices,\u201d this specufuc user wrote. \u201cI considered myself an incredibly accepting, supportive person until he just slapped me in my face with a truth I wasn’t aware of.\u201d<\/p>\n

As previously mentioned, this isn\u2019t the only time that Law has talked about this. More recently, he\u2019s opened up<\/a> about feeling very content as a single person who never felt that romantic relationships were their \u201ccalling.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSome people go to bed and they dream about finding that significant other, a person that makes them whole or somebody to hold them at night. I’ve never craved that type of love,\u201d Law said during a 2024 panel discussion. \u201cI truly believe I was put on this Earth to be adored and for people to love me in a different type of way.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNow, that being said, if the universe wants to bless me with a man that’s a billionaire or very close to it, you know, my heart is open for that,\u201d he joked. \u201cBut I just never felt like that was my calling, and that’s okay. It’s the same way like, all women don’t crave to be mothers, right? And that’s okay, so it just was never my calling.\u201d<\/p>\n

I absolutely love the way he talks about this \u2014 and it\u2019s clearly super helpful for other people to hear. Good for you, Law!<\/p>\n
