Eighteen leading architects and designers met this week to decide the winners of Dezeen Awards 2025, in partnership with Bentley, who will be revealed at the Dezeen Awards 2025 party<\/a> in November.<\/p>\n

The Dezeen Awards master jury took place at the One Hundred Shoreditch hotel in London and included architect\u00a0Patty Hopkins<\/a> and designers\u00a0Richard Hutten<\/a> and\u00a0Sofia Lagerkvist<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Designers Laurids Gall\u00e9e<\/a> and Helle Mardahl<\/a>, as well as architects David Thulstrup<\/a> and Pablo P\u00e9rez Palacios<\/a> also joined to finalise the 49 award winners.<\/p>\n

A dedicated panel of industry experts including Samira Rathod<\/a> and Caroline Till<\/a> also met to determine the winner of the Bentley Lighthouse Award, a special award supported by Bentley that rewards an individual whose work has had an overwhelmingly beneficial impact on social and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n

Winners \u00a0announced in November<\/p>\n

All this year’s winners will be announced at the end of November at the Dezeen Awards 2025 party in London, with shortlist announcements made between 6-13 October.<\/p>\n

Guests at the party will be the first to find out who has won the prestigious project of the year awards across architecture, interiors, design and sustainability. Tickets are now available to purchase here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Also unveiled at the ceremony will be this year’s Designers of the Year, nominated by Dezeen Awards judges<\/a>, who have then been shortlisted and selected by Dezeen’s editorial team.<\/p>\n

The master jury discussed 269 shortlisted entries selected from 4,300 projects in 89 countries around the globe.<\/p>\n

Joining Hopkins and Palacios on the architecture master jury panel were architects Simon Allford<\/a>, Sonali Rastogi<\/a> and designer Zoe Lowres<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Thulstrup was joined on the interiors master jury panel by Linda Boronkay<\/a>, Tatjana von Stein<\/a> and Ben Saltmer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Joseph Grima<\/a> and Benjamin Hubert<\/a> were alongside Galle\u00e9, Mardahl, Lagerkvist to decide the winners of the design categories.<\/p>\n

Rotterdam<\/a>-based designer Galle\u00e9 remarked, “it’s exciting to see how the industry shares a trajectory that leaves a strong place for independent design, from individual makers to small teams.”<\/p>\n

Ana Maria Duran Calisto<\/a> completed the sustainability panel with Rathod, Hutten and Till, who all also selected the recipient of this year’s Bentley Lighthouse Award winner.<\/p>\n

“In recent years we have seen numerous companies within the design industry scale back or revise their sustainability goals, citing factors such as economic pressure, supply chain disruption, and shifting political landscapes,” said Till.<\/p>\n

Till and her fellow judges agreed, and commended that, despite industry challenges, designers are “taking a bold and unequivocal stance to keep sustainable innovation at the forefront of the design conversation”.<\/p>\n

Following the day of judging, an exclusive drinks reception and dinner took place in the One Hundred Room at One Hundred Shoreditch, where the master jury was joined by former judges Patrik Schumacher<\/a>, Charlotte Taylor<\/a> and Rio Kobayashi<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Following the shortlist announcements in October, the next date to note in the design calendar is the pinnacle of this year’s programme \u2013 the Dezeen Awards party<\/a>, which will take place on 25 November at Exhibition White City in London.<\/p>\n
