New set photos from Daredevil: Born Again season 3 have surfaced, showing Vincent D’Onofrio back as Wilson Fisk, looking very different.

Daredevil: Born Again is a Disney+ show that follows the titular vigilante, who has stepped away from his life as a superhero. Trying to live a calmer, more ordinary life, he’s forced back into action when Fisk reemerges, this time pursuing political power with a mayoral campaign that puts New York at risk. This gives him no choice but to face his past and once again embrace his identity as Daredevil.

In photos posted by Daredevil Shots on X, the iconic Marvel criminal mastermind is seen moving through New York City with a long white beard, seemingly trying to stay under the radar. These images follow the ending of the latest episode. Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) manages to defeat Fisk. However, without a way to lock him up or get rid of him, the victory was short-lived, leaving Daredevil stuck in his ongoing battle.

Although Daredevil: Born Again season 2 still has two episodes remaining, production on season 3 is already underway, leading to early glimpses such as these photos and speculation. Background details in the pictures hint at new political developments, including campaign posters for Sheila Rivera (Zabryna Guevara), implying that there has been a massive shift in New York’s government.

Since the images lack context, it’s difficult to determine exactly what’s happening. However, it does seem to imply that Kingpin will continue to be a big part of the series despite how some people might feel. While not the majority, there are many Daredevil fans who would like to see a new villain or antagonist take the spotlight instead of keeping it on someone who they believe to be overused.

D’Onofrio has also mentioned in past interviews that Vanessa’s (Ayelet Zurer) death will take a huge toll on his character. This could mean that Daredevil: Born Again season 3 might potentially explore how this loss affects him and whether it pushes him further into darkness or forces a major turning point for the better.

Daredevil was created by the iconic duo of Stan Lee and Bill Everett in 1964. First appearing in Daredevil #1, Murdock, a blind lawyer, becomes a masked vigilante after an accident involving radioactive substances raises his remaining senses to nearly supernatural levels. He eventually uses his newfound skills to protect the people of New York City as a vigilante.

Published by Marvel Comics, the original Daredevil ongoing series first launched in 1964 and ran for decades, ending in 1998. Early stories were written by Stan Lee, with art by Bill Everett, and Jack Kirby often contributed to the series as well.
