Katie recently recreated the cover of one of her mom’s early 1990s pregnancy workout videos, remarking on how she was one of the first to tackle pregnancy fitness<\/p>\n
Katie Austin<\/a> is channeling her mom as she works out through her pregnancy.<\/p>\n The influencer and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, 32, recently recreated the cover of her mom Denise Austin<\/a>‘s 1990 workout video, Pregnancy Plus Workout.<\/p>\n The 1980s fitness icon first created the video when pregnant in the early 1990s. Katie’s recreation is spot on and a special celebration of their mother-daughter bond.<\/p>\n Sharing the photos side-by-side on Instagram, Denise wrote, “BEYOND BLESSED!!! THEN + NOW!!! And now we’re getting ready for our grandbabies!!!!”<\/p>\n Sharing the photos on her own Instagram, Katie wrote, “Fun fact: my mom @deniseaustin<\/a> was the first mainstream American woman to bring pregnancy workouts into women’s homes. THATS CRAZY. She truly pioneered prenatal fitness\u2026 and getting to carry that legacy forward in my own way means everything\ud83d\udcaa.”<\/p>\n Denise commented on Katie’s post, writing, “YESSS\u2026 This makes me cry with HAPPINESS!!!!! It’s so special that THEN.. YOU were in my tummy for this cover and NOW.. it’s YOU [who is] having a baby!!!! Awwww .. it’s just so nostalgic you are re-creating it 32 years later.. I love you!! So sweet and feeling so grateful\u2026.Xoxoxo.”<\/p>\n Katie first shared her pregnancy news on Instagram<\/a> on Sunday, March 15, just weeks ahead of marking her second wedding anniversary<\/a> with husband Lane Armstrong.<\/p>\n The post<\/a> featured a series of photos from a maternity shoot on the beach.
