Google has changed Gmail, expanding Gemini to millions of users \u2014 just as it warns that this kind of AI upgrade opens the door to an \u201cevolving playground\u201d of sophisticated new attacks. Gemini now sits between you and your emails. That may be a major convenience, but it also turns your inbox into a new attack surface.<\/p>\n

These are not instructions you\u2019ve read \u2014 but hidden prompts embedded in emails, designed to influence the AI generating your summary and, in turn, the actions you then take.<\/p>\n Gmail upgrade \u2014 summaries coming soon to your inbox.<\/p>\n Google<\/p>\n \u201cIPI is not the kind of technical problem you ‘solve\u2019 and move on,\u201d Google says.
