Kyle Sandilands<\/a> has signalled a return to the spotlight, teasing a new \u201clive\u201d project as his high-stakes legal battle with Australian Radio Network<\/a> (ARN) continues.<\/p>\n

In a video posted to an Instagram fan account, the former KIIS FM host told followers he is \u201ccoming back, bigger than ever\u201d following his removal from the airwaves in February.<\/p>\n

The move comes as Sandilands fights to enforce his reported 10-year, $100 million contract with ARN, saying he wants to return to broadcasting and honour the remaining eight years of the deal.<\/p>\n

\u2018A little secret\u2019<\/p>\n

Addressing fans directly, Sandilands struck a self-deprecating tone, joking that it was \u201ca surprise that I\u2019ve even got fans left\u201d before thanking them for their support.<\/p>\n

He then hinted at a new venture currently in development.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t tell anyone, but I\u2019m working on a new project, and all will be revealed soon,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for your prayers \u2013 coming back guys, bigger than ever hopefully\u2026 actually not fatter.\u201d<\/p>\n

The video, filmed in front of a blank console, offered few concrete details. However, a logo reading \u2018Kyle Sandilands Live\u2019 briefly appeared on a nearby screen as Sandilands acknowledged his manager, Bruno Bouchet.<\/p>\n

While no platform or launch timeline has been confirmed, the reference to a \u201clive\u201d format \u2013 combined with Sandilands\u2019 lack of a current radio licence \u2013 has fuelled speculation the project could take shape on a digital platform such as YouTube or podcasting.<\/p>\n

From broadcast to direct-to-audience?<\/p>\n

If confirmed, the move would mirror a broader shift among high-profile media personalities opting to bypass traditional broadcast channels in favour of owned, digital distribution.<\/p>\n

English broadcaster Piers Morgan, for example, launched his YouTube channel Piers Morgan Uncensored<\/a> after departing Good Morning Britain, building a direct-to-audience model following controversy around his on-air commentary.<\/p>\n

Closer to home, there\u2019s\u00a0Karl Stefanovic, who, while still remaining on Nine\u2019s\u00a0Today Show, has started his own podcast,\u00a0The Karl Stefanovic Show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For Sandilands, the timing is notable. His exit from KIIS FM followed an on-air clash with long-time co-host Jackie \u2018O\u2019 Henderson<\/a>, which escalated into a breakdown of both their professional partnership and personal relationship.<\/p>\n

Henderson has since claimed she previously lodged complaints about her co-host and, following the incident, said she felt unsafe working alongside him. She was also released from her contract and is now suing ARN for $82 million, alleging unfair termination.<\/p>\n
