Mel C<\/a> has shared her continuing hopes for a Spice Girls<\/a> reunion, saying that she is \u201cmanifesting\u201d the group coming together for a slot at Glastonbury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The singer (aka Sporty Spice) spoke about her thoughts towards a comeback during a new interview with former publicist Nicki Chapman on Magic Radio, as she is gearing up to release the new solo album, \u2018Sweat\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the conversation, she opened up about the long-running rumours of a Spice Girls reunion and discussed why she thinks there is still such demand from fans for her, Victoria Beckham<\/a>, Mel B<\/a>, Geri Halliwell-Horner<\/a> and Emma Bunton<\/a> to regroup again.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s something about the dynamic of the Spice Girls \u2013 when we\u2019re in a room together it\u2019s electric. It still happens to this day\u2026 there is something magical about those five personalities,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

She also added that while she previously found it \u201creally hard\u201d to be in the public eye at the height of their fame and tried to distance herself from the group, she started to love \u201call these things\u201d again when the group came together (without Beckham) for a 2019 reunion tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As a result, she added, she has kept her mind open for another reunion with the complete line-up, and already decided that Glastonbury would be the best way to mark the occasion.<\/p>\n

\u201cGlastonbury would be the pinnacle, it\u2019s a bucket list,\u201d she explained. \u201cSpice Girls, Pyramid Stage \u2013 I like to think that will happen at some point. I\u2019m very strongly manifesting that it will happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Sweat\u2019 comes out tomorrow (Friday May 1) via Virgin Music Group.<\/p>\n

Mel C joined Blossoms on stage at Glastonbury 2022<\/a>, where they delivered a joint rendition of \u2018Spice Up Your Life\u2019. She also played a DJ set of Spice Girls classics and Britpop tunes at that year\u2019s festival<\/a>, before returning to play a solo gig at Worthy Farm in 2023. The following year, she made a surprise appearance during Orbital\u2019s Glasto slot<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There have been a lot of comments from the Spice Girls members about a reunion in recent years, with each of them seemingly taking a hot-and-cold approach to the idea.<\/p>\n

Mel C, for the most part, has been up for a comeback and also said recently that all the members \u201cwant to do something\u201d, but have not planned anything<\/a> for their upcoming 30th anniversary.<\/p>\n

The last time all five members performed together publicly was at the London Olympics closing ceremony in 2012,<\/a> although they also gave a surprise performance of \u2018Stop\u2019 at Posh\u2019s 50th birthday party<\/a> in 2024.<\/p>\n

In 2025, Sporty Spice said again that she was \u201coptimistic\u201d that the iconic girl group would reunite<\/a>, and Beckham added fuel to the fire by sharing her \u201ctempting\u201d desire to do a Spice Girls stadium tour<\/a> after attending Oasis\u2019 mighty comeback tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Before then, Halliwell-Horner teased that \u201cthere will be something\u201d with Beckham in the fold in the future<\/a>. \u201cMy hope is we come back together as a collective. It\u2019s more respectful to come as one,\u201d she said, also revealing that all five members shared a group chat.<\/p>\n

Mel B, however, seems to have gone back on her comments saying that she was \u201calways game\u201d when it came to hitting the road<\/a> with the group again \u2013 recently sharing that she was certain a reunion is \u201cnot happening\u201d<\/a>, and that if it was possible, it would already be taking place.<\/a><\/p>\n

There have also been mutterings about the \u2018Viva Forever\u2019 stars playing at Glastonbury circulating for a while now, with Sporty Spice sharing that they would be a \u201cbelting headliner\u201d<\/a> for the Worthy Farm festival, and Mel B (Scary Spice) hinting to fans<\/a> in 2024 that it could come to fruition.<\/p>\n
