One UI 8.5 is already on the latest S26 series of phones. But its expected release for the S25 series hasn\u2019t happened yet. When it eventually arrives, it will add new features and visual upgrades without the need to splash out on the latest model.<\/p>\n

Samsung has said that April 30 was never the official date for the rollout to start. Since May 1 is Labor Day in Korea, a rollout beginning hours before a public holiday could have proven tricky for support teams.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease note that Beta schedules are not finalized until officially confirmed by Samsung, and timelines may change depending on testing results or regional considerations,\u201d the company said in a One UK Beta Team community site.<\/p>\n

New Likely Release Window<\/p>\n

Which means that Monday, May 4 is the date that seems most likely. This could be for Korean users only, at first, with international rollout beginning after that.<\/p>\n

\u201cSamsung plans to release the stable version of One UI 8.5 for most eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets between May 4, 2026, and May 30, 2026. This means the stable build of the new software for your device could be less than a month away,\u201d SamMobile<\/a> claimed.<\/p>\n

Check your S25 series phone on Monday to see if you\u2019re offered the update.<\/p>\n

There are many updates in One UI 8.5, including support for Quick Share\u2019s latest feature<\/a>, compatibility with Apple iPhone to make wireless transfer between Android and Apple devices as smooth and seamless as it is with AirDrop.<\/p>\n

Other major additions include Perplexity-powered Bixby, AI-driven Photo Assist, and real-time Audio Eraser to filter background noise from media.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeta testers also praise the software\u2019s fluidity and stability, as compared to the One UI 8.0 software,\u201d Sammyfans<\/a> has said.<\/p>\n
