Finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema announced a combined \u20b9265 crore increase on Sunday, crediting the boost to stringent enforcement and transparent administration.VAT collections rose 23.28%, adding about \u20b9230 crore to the state exchequer. Simultaneously, PSDT revenue grew by 20.43%, contributing an additional \u20b935 crore.
