Venus spoke about her love for fashion and personal style to Fashionista<\/a> a few years back, saying, \u201cFashion started at a grassroots level for me. My mom ended up sewing my tennis skirts for my first professional tennis match. I still love it at that creation level. I studied fashion, and it was a great experience. It taught me so much about the garment, what that means, and how to create something that\u2019s entirely you.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201c[Personal style] is about how you feel. Every couple of years, I create a moodboard. Sometimes, I just feel like changing my style, so I\u2019ll go on Pinterest and create a moodboard like, \u2018This is going to be the new me.\u2019 Then I go after it and start shopping in that direction. There was one point where all I wanted to do was be more risqu\u00e9 and wear shorter stuff, and I made another moodboard after. I haven\u2019t made one recently though. We\u2019ll see where it goes.\u201d<\/p>\n
