MK Eitan Ginzburg<\/a> announced on Tuesday that he will leave the Blue and White party, led by MK Benny Gantz<\/a>, to find another political framework ahead of the upcoming elections, becoming the second lawmaker to exit the faction this week.<\/p>\n

The move marks another blow to Gantz\u2019s party after a series of departures by lawmakers who are now members of the Yashar! party led by Gadi Eisenkot, once Gantz\u2019s second in command. The departure also comes as the Blue and White party has failed to clear the electoral threshold in recent polls.<\/p>\n

Announcing his departure, Ginzburg said that Blue and White<\/a> could no longer create change in the country and \u201cthere is no other choice,” but to leave.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, the ability of the current political framework to continue driving the necessary change in the state has diminished,\u201d Ginzburg wrote in a X\/Tiwtter post<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this time, the moment has come to move forward and find a framework in which I can continue contributing my abilities in the best possible way,\u201d Ginzburg added.<\/p>\n

Gantz had set an ultimatum for Ginzburg to announce his political future by noon, according to Blue and White.<\/p>\n

The party added that Gantz summoned Ginzburg for a conversation on Tuesday morning after receiving information that he had been in contact with other parties, amid concerns about his political and financial future.<\/p>\n

MK Chili Tropper<\/a> announced on Sunday that he will leave the party to determine his next steps in finding a new framework ahead of the upcoming elections.<\/p>\n

Tropper will reportedly consider joining forces with either Eisenkot or former prime minister Naftali Bennett\u2019s Together party, which merged last week with opposition leader Yair Lapid\u2019s Yesh Atid.<\/p>\n

Former ministers Matan Kahana and Orit Farkash Hacohen both joined Yashar! after leaving Gantz\u2019s party.<\/p>\n

Despite the departures, Gantz has repeatedly asserted that he has no intention of resigning.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will continue. I think I will grow stronger,\u201d Gantz said in a Tuesday Kan Reshet Bet interview.<\/p>\n

Blue and White has also been distanced from the opposition bloc seeking to replace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the upcoming elections.<\/p>\n

Gantz has indicated that he would not object to teaming up with Netanyahu, and recently called for a \u201cbroad Zionist government.\u201d<\/p>\n
