Perhaps one of the most notorious examples of a celebrity going too far with their prep ahead of the Met came in 2022, when Kim Kardashian lost 16 pounds in just 21 days<\/a> in order to fit into Marilyn Monroe\u2019s dress.\"Kim<\/p>\n

At the time, Kim revealed that she \u201ccompletely cut out all sugar and all carbs\u201d and ate just \u201cthe cleanest veggies and protein\u201d ahead of the Met, while also wearing a sauna suit twice a day and exercising extensively.\"Kim<\/p>\n

Naturally, Kim\u2019s drastic weight loss was met with backlash<\/a> online \u2014 not just from fans, but from dietitians<\/a> who felt the reality star was perpetuating harmful diet culture rhetoric.\"Kim<\/p>\n

Dietitian Elaina Efird told\u00a0BuzzFeed directly<\/a>, \u201cLosing 16 pounds in 21 days is technically possible, but only through extreme and VERY unhealthy measures such as starvation or semi-starvation. It is not sustainable at all and should NEVER be the goal or attempted by an individual.\u201d<\/p>\n

With this in mind, it was pretty refreshing to see that this year, Kim didn\u2019t seem to flaunt her weight as she detailed her Met prep.\"Kim<\/p>\n

In fact, Kim shared a photo of a surprisingly indulgent dessert just hours before walking the iconic beige carpet in a custom Allen Jones<\/a> and Whitaker Malem look.\"Kim<\/p>\n
