Blueface<\/a> is shedding light on how one of hip-hop\u2019s biggest rivalries played out behind bars, and according to him, the energy inside jail leaned heavily in Drake<\/a>\u2019s favor.<\/p>\n

During a recent conversation with Bootleg Kev, the Los Angeles rapper recalled how inmates reacted to the highly publicized feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar<\/a> while he was incarcerated.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it was dope. I like shit like that,\u201d Blueface said, describing the back-and-forth as something the culture needed.<\/p>\n

According to him, the music and diss tracks were still reaching inmates in real time, sparking debates and strong opinions among those locked up.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody choosing their side,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s crazy\u2026 n****s in jail like, \u2018Man, I\u2019m ready to go do it for Drake right now. When I get out, I\u2019m gonna go kill somebody for OVO.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Blueface added that some inmates even tried to claim distant personal ties to Drake or his circle, further fueling the intensity of the discussions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey saying they ties\u2026 like, \u2018my sister, baby daddy, cousin, auntie,\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cPeople was really picking a side.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time, Blueface was serving time in a Los Angeles County facility following legal issues tied to a probation violation stemming from a prior case. While incarcerated, he remained tapped into pop culture moments like the Drake-Kendrick feud, which dominated headlines and social media throughout its peak.<\/p>\n

Despite the heated reactions from others, Blueface said he viewed the rivalry as a positive moment for hip-hop.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo me, I thought it was dope,\u201d he said. \u201cI thought that was like the culture needed that.\u201d<\/p>\n
