students shine in King\u2019s Trust Enterprise Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Pupils from Eden Boys\u2019 Leadership Academy in Bradford competed in The King\u2019s Trust Enterprise Challenge, an initiative designed to inspire young people to think entrepreneurially and develop real-world business skills.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Having secured third place in the initial round, competing against more than 300 schools, Eden Boys\u2019 progressed to the Yorkshire and Humber regional finals, held at Headingley Stadium in Leeds.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Mr Khan, director of learning for IT at Eden Boys\u2019 Leadership Academy, Bradford, said: &#8220;We are incredibly proud of our pupils.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Their ingenuity, team spirit and commitment to making a positive difference really shone through.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;This success highlights the value of opportunities like the King\u2019s Trust Enterprise Challenge, which helps equip young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to succeed as they progress through education and prepare for life in modern Britain.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>Pupils from Eden Boys\u2019 Leadership Academy in Bradford (Image: Supplied)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Each team was tasked with developing a unique business idea, considering branding, marketing, financial planning, and social impact, before pitching their concept to a panel of expert judges.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Bradford team impressed judges with \u2018BEE FIT\u2019\u2014a healthy living scheme designed to offer affordable sports activities to fellow students, including football, dodgeball, and badminton.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The concept aimed to improve physical and mental health while remaining inclusive and accessible.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Judges praised their clarity and confidence, awarding them joint first place in the initial judging round.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Following final deliberations, \u2018BEE FIT\u2019 was named runner-up overall.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Although the team narrowly missed out on \u00a3500 in start-up funding, their idea was commended for its creativity, positive values and meaningful social purpose.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Energised by their success, the students remain determined to develop their business model further and are exploring ways to launch \u2018BEE FIT\u2019 within their school.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Eden Boys\u2019 Leadership Academy, Bradford, is a secondary free school for 11 to 16-year-olds.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The school opened in September 2019 and was rated \u2018Outstanding\u2019 in its most recent Ofsted inspection.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  It is part of Star Academies, a multi-academy trust that runs a network of primary and secondary schools across the UK.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Star Academies works to improve the
