Dua Lipa<\/a> made a surprise appearance at Tame Impala<\/a>\u2018s headline gig at the O2 in London. Check it out below.<\/p>\n

The moment took place as Kevin Parker<\/a> played the iconic London venue on May 8<\/a>, with Lipa joining around halfway through his performance of the 2025 track \u2018After Thought\u2019 from his most recent album \u2018Deadbeat\u2019.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, Parker said: \u201cLet\u2019s play a song that we made together!\u201d, before the two broke into \u2018Houdini\u2019, taken from Lipa\u2019s 2024 album \u2018Radical Optimism<\/a>\u2018, which saw Parker serve as producer.<\/p>\n

Lipa later said the experience felt \u201ccompletely surreal + euphoric\u201d in a post on X. Watch footage of the moment below.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the first time the pair have joined forces on stage. Last year, Parker made a surprise appearance at Lipa\u2019s show in Sydney<\/a> for a performance of \u2018The Less I Know The Better\u2019.<\/p>\n

Before that, the pop singer previously brought Parker out during her\u00a0headlining slot at Glastonbury in 2024<\/a>, with the two also duetting on the song then.<\/p>\n

In an interview with\u00a0The Guardian<\/a>, published later that year, Parker spoke more about that moment<\/a>, saying that it was \u201cway more wild than I thought it was gonna be\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe nicest thing about it was that it was Dua headlining Glastonbury, which is something she has wanted to do since she was a kid,\u201d he added.\u00a0\u201cI felt like I had a seat in someone\u2019s dream that they were living \u2013 I was just happy to be a part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, the pop star credited Parker and Harle with contributing to the \u201ceureka moment\u201d on her new album<\/a>, while Parker called Lipa a \u201cbrutal\u201d editor<\/a> while recalling the lengthy process of making \u2018Houdini\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d kind of recoil in horror and go, \u2018Oh, no, it\u2019s a great verse!\u2019\u201d Parker remembered. \u201cBut then an hour later, we\u2019d have something that I can\u2019t imagine not being in the song.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before that, Lipa said Tame Impala\u2019s \u2018Currents\u2019 \u201ccompletely changed [her] life\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn terms of things that I\u2019m obsessed with, \u2018Currents\u2019 has been the soundtrack to my life,\u201d she told\u00a0Triple J<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s one of my favourite albums ever ever ever. [It] was kind of like the gateway drug for me into Tame Impala.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tame Impala, \u2018Deadbeat<\/a>\u2019 scored\u00a0a three-star review from\u00a0NME<\/a>\u00a0when it arrived last year, and noted that \u201cParker has grown outside his comfort zone, only to strike a kind of lyrical inertia that becomes detrimental to his new vocabulary of music\u201d.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Parker has also been confirmed as joining A$AP Rocky, WILLOW, Lil Yachty and more to feature on Thundercat\u2019s first album in six years<\/a>, \u2018Distracted\u2019,\u00a0while\u00a0he was recently spotted in the studio with members of Geese, Pond and King Gizzard<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As for Lipa, the Southbank Centre recently announced that the pop star is set to curate its 2026 London Literature Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n
