\n\tNEW AMBASSADOR: Italian luxury brand Ferragamo<\/a> has appointed Chinese actor Johnny Huang its latest global brand ambassador.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tHuang, who boasts 20 million followers on Weibo, is one of the best-known actors of his generation. He gained international fame in 2018 thanks to his role in the action movie \u201cOperation Red Sea.\u201d\u00a0 The same year he was bestowed with the \u201cBest Newcomer\u201d prize at the 13th Asian Film Awards and \u201cBest Actor in a Chinese Contemporary TV Series\u201d at the 24th Huading Awards.<\/p>\n

\n\tHis upcoming projects include the Chinese drama \u201cOur Dazzling Days\u201d and the third chapter of the drama movie \u201cPegasus 3.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThis is not the first fashion tie-up for Huang, as he also served as Abercrombie & Fitch\u2019s<\/a> first Chinese brand ambassador in 2018 as well as global brand ambassador<\/a> for the Swiss company Bally.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe men\u2019s roster of ambassadors at Ferragamo<\/a> also includes Italian ski champion Alberto Tomba<\/a>, who fronted the first chapter of Ferragamo\u2019s \u201cLegends, Reimagined\u201d project, and NCT member Jeno Lee <\/a>as its first global male brand ambassador.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe brand is designed by\u00a0creative director<\/a>\u00a0Maximilian Davis,<\/a>\u00a0who was tapped by former chief executive officer Marco Gobbetti in March 2022.<\/p>\n

\n\tGobbetti stepped down<\/a> from his role in March 2025. Since then, executive chairman Leonardo Ferragamo has been leading the company\u2019s strategy with a transitional chairman advisory committee.
