Kendrick Lamar just took a page out of Drake<\/a>\u2019s playbook. Today (May 3), the pgLang founder dropped another diss aimed at his Canadian rival titled \u201c6:16 in LA.\u201d<\/p>\n In the song, Lamar questioned the loyalty within Drake\u2019s entourage and made a nod to 2020\u2019s \u201cToosie Slide.\u201d He rapped, \u201cAre you finally ready to play Have You Ever? Let\u2019s see\/ Have you ever thought that OVO was workin\u2019 for me?\/ Fake bully, I hate bullies, you must be a terrible person\/ Everyone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it\/ Can\u2019t \u2018Toosie Slide\u2019 up outta this one, it\u2019s just gon\u2019 resurface\/ Every dog gotta have his day, now live in your purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n Earlier in the verse, the Compton emcee referenced DJ Akademiks<\/a>, who notably voiced the outro of Drake\u2019s \u201cPush Ups.\u201d \u201cYeah, somebody\u2019s lyin\u2019, I could see the vibes on Ak\u2019\/ Even he lookin\u2019 compromised, let\u2019s peel the layers back,\u201d Lamar spat.<\/p>\n Peep the record below.<\/p>\n \u201c6:16 in LA\u201d arrived on the heels of Tuesday\u2019s (April 30) \u201ceuphoria,\u201d and most notably, before Drake could issue a rebuttal track. The \u201cGod\u2019s Plan\u201d artist took a similar approach with \u201cTaylor Made Freestyle<\/a>,\u201d which was shared via Instagram shortly after \u201cPush Ups\u201d hit streaming platforms on April 19.<\/p>\n The title of Lamar\u2019s \u201c6:16 in LA\u201d seemed to be a play on Drake\u2019s timestamp series. Over the years, the self-proclaimed 6 God has released songs like \u201c9AM in Dallas,\u201d \u201c5AM in Toronto,\u201d \u201c6PM in New York,\u201d and \u201c4PM in Calabasas. The latest rendition, \u201c8am in Charlotte,\u201d appeared on For All The Dogs in October 2023.<\/p>\n \u201ceuphoria\u201d achieved a record 9.2 million Spotify streams on its debut day, raising anticipation for Drake\u2019s response. Despite Lamar\u2019s attacks, the five-time Grammy winner has remained relatively quiet.
