\n\tIndependent production firm Finite Films & TV has unveiled its next feature film,\u00a0and it is a creative collaboration with Steven Cree<\/a>, known for his roles in Outlander<\/a> and Heads of State<\/a>. The movie, Ben & Lucy,\u00a0written by and starring Cree,\u00a0will be directed by Cora Bissett\u00a0(The Singer, I\u2019d Like to Speak to the Manager, Pricker).<\/p>\n

\n\tSet in Glasgow, the film follows middle-aged comedian and recovering alcoholic Ben and his estranged daughter Lucy, a troubled art student, who is falling into the same patterns of addiction. \u201cBen is desperate to show Lucy that he has changed and is no longer the unreliable father he once was,\u201d reads a plot description.\u00a0\u201cBut Lucy\u2019s path of self-destruction leads them to both confront their pain and see how they can stop the cycle of havoc haunting them both.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCree is set to play Ben, while the casting for Lucy is yet to be unveiled.\u00a0Actor Robert Carlyle<\/a>\u00a0(The Full Monty, 28 Weeks Later) is attached to play Dan, Ben\u2019s sponsor.\u00a0Stuart Martin (Army of Thieves, Jamestown, Miss Scarlet) is also attached and set to play an undisclosed role.<\/p>\n

\n\tBen & Lucy is produced by Finite Films<\/a> founder\u00a0Amy Gardner (And Then Come the Nightjars,\u00a0My House,\u00a0Honeytrap).<\/p>\n

He featured in the recently released\u00a0All of You, the science fiction\u00a0romantic drama directed by William Bridges, starring\u00a0Brett Goldstein,\u00a0Imogen Poots,\u00a0Zawe Ashton, and\u00a0Jenna Coleman, and in the upcoming\u00a0I Swear, starring Robert Aramayo and directed by Kirk Jones, which follows the true story of a Tourette Syndrome campaigner. <\/p>\n
