{"id":447534,"date":"2026-05-18T11:05:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-18T11:05:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/447534\/"},"modified":"2026-05-18T11:05:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-18T11:05:08","slug":"rajar-87-of-uk-adults-listen-to-radio-weekly-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/447534\/","title":{"rendered":"RAJAR: 87% Of UK Adults Listen To Radio Weekly. | Story"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Based on UK audio measurement company RAJAR\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rajar.co.uk\/docs\/news\/RAJAR_DataRelease_InfographicQ12026.pdf\" target=\"_Blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">just-released figures<\/a> for first-quarter 2026, it would be understandable if radio execs across the region are singing along with one of the UK\u2019s biggest hit songs this year, Bella Kay\u2019s \u201ciloveitiloveitiloveit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There is certainly a lot to love in RAJAR\u2019s report, which right up top shows 87% of the UK\u2019s age 15+ population, or 50.6 million adults, tuned to radio every week during Q1 2026. That\u2019s the highest audience delivery since the first quarter of 2025 \u2014 when it was also 87% \u2014 and up more than a share point from Q4 2025.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"height: auto; max-width: 100%; border: none; display: block;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.insideradio.com\/app\/Images2026\/Rajar05182026chart1.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>According to RAJAR, the average listener tuned into 19.9 hours of live radio each week during the quarter, with average weekly hours listened to radio overall at the 1 billion mark.<\/p>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" style=\"height: auto; max-width: 100%; border: none; display: block;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.insideradio.com\/app\/Images2026\/Rajar05182026chart4.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>RAJAR\u2019s analysis for Q1 2026 also shows that 62% of UK listening takes place at home, with 26% in vehicles and 13% at work or elsewhere.
