The official logline for the film, via Netflix: \u201cJay Kelly follows famous movie actor, Jay Kelly (George Clooney), as he embarks on a journey of self discovery confronting both his past and present, accompanied by his devoted manager Ron (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/adam-sandler\/\" id=\"auto-tag_adam-sandler_1\" data-tag=\"adam-sandler\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Adam Sandler<\/a>). Poignant and humor filled, epic and intimate, Jay Kelly is pitched at the intersection of life\u2019s regrets and notable glories.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe trailer starts out with Jay saying: \u201cI don\u2019t wan to be here anymore. \u2026 I want to leave the party.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHis daughter reveals she\u2019s going to Paris, and Kelly decides to follow her to France, with Ron and his publicist (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/laura-dern\/\" id=\"auto-tag_laura-dern_1\" data-tag=\"laura-dern\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Laura Dern<\/a>) in tow.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cLately I feel like my life doesn\u2019t really feel real,\u201d Jay tells Ron. \u201cSuddenly, I\u2019m remembering things. What is that?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cMemory?\u201d Ron asks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s like a movie where I\u2019m playing myself,\u201d Jay muses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe movie, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-reviews\/jay-kelly-review-george-clooney-adam-sandler-noah-baumbach-1236354571\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival,<\/a> will be released in select theaters Nov. 14 and on Netflix on Dec. 5.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIn addition to directing Baumbach also wrote the script with Emily Mortimer and served as producer with David Heyman and Amy Pascal.
