Co-ordinated under the auspices of the NEA in co-operation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) ISOP Network (IAEA\/ISOP) and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), the project aims to facilitate international co-operation during the initial phases of innovative technology consideration in the nuclear sector. This workshop was part of a broader series of exercises designed to address the deployment of disruptive technologies.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hosted\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI),\u00a0the\u00a0RegLab Deep Dive invited representatives from regulators, licensees, technologists and national laboratories to explore the safety implications of using artificial intelligence (AI) in both human supervised and a fully autonomous scenarios. The group examined AI agents tasked with optimising equipment reliability and maintenance planning within the framework of INPO AP-913 and AP-928 processes.\u202f\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A central feature of the\u202fRegLab\u202fprocess\u00a0is its ability\u00a0to gather\u00a0diverse\u00a0representatives from regulatory, operational, and technology communities. The\u00a0participants\u00a0consider how\u00a0to overcome\u00a0blockers and\u00a0challenges\u00a0and\u00a0identify\u00a0further work the sector (including the regulators) can\u00a0perform\u00a0to support the deployment and regulation of the innovative technologies.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0findings will be published in a forthcoming public report.
