Welcome to Plathville<\/a>\u2019s Lydia Plath<\/a> and Zac Wyse were vocal about saving their first kiss<\/a> for their wedding day \u2014 so how long did they wait to have sex?<\/p>\n

During the Tuesday, May 19, episode<\/a> of the TLC series, Lydia, 22, met up with her friend and bridesmaid Mariah to talk about how married life was going with Zac, 24, after tying the knot<\/a> in February 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201c[It\u2019s] been really great. Enjoying marriage, discovering marriage,\u201d Lydia said.<\/p>\n

She then detailed how her and Zac\u2019s first night together after kissing at the altar.<\/p>\n

\u201cZac had told me leading up to the wedding, he was like, \u2018You know, when it comes to sex<\/a>, when it comes to intimacy, like, I want you to let me know when you’re ready,\u2019\u201d Lydia recalled.<\/p>\n

The reality star<\/a> remembered her now-husband saying, \u201c\u2018If you want to wait a week, you know, [and] enjoy a week of kissing and making out and warming up to each other before we do anything else [we can].\u2019 He’s like, \u2018I’m here to serve you.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Lydia noted that Zac \u201creally created a safe place\u201d for her in the bedroom before confirming they had sex shortly after becoming husband and wife.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, we didn’t wait a week so much,\u201d she told her friend, making a cheeky face and letting out a laugh.<\/p>\n

Lydia explained, \u201cI don’t want to disclose what our wedding night looked like, but it was so beautiful. It’s just so perfect and so God-centered and so just honoring.\u201d<\/p>\n

The TLC personality<\/a> was also honest about what it was like being naked in front of somebody else after growing up in such a conservative household.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wouldn’t even change it in front of my sister’s till I was like 17,\u201d Lydia confessed to Mariah. \u201cThat was honestly something that surprised both of us, just how comfortable we were with each other from day one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lydia \u2014 who received backlash<\/a> from her family over how quickly she married Zac<\/a> \u2014 told the cameras that she\u2019s happy with the couple\u2019s sex life thus far. (Ahead of their special day, Lydia\u2019s eldest brother Ethan Plath<\/a> questioned Zac\u2019s sexuality after learning they hadn\u2019t kissed<\/a>. Ethan, 28, and the rest of the family eventually apologized for being so critical.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s definitely a side of me that no one has ever seen or I never imagined was there. But, it’s for Zac only and it’s awesome,\u201d Lydia teased before biting a banana on camera. The action, which appeared somewhat sexual, caused the crew to laugh, but Lydia insisted it wasn\u2019t on \u201cpurpose.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lydia, who moved to Colorado<\/a> from Florida with Zac earlier this month, proceeded to give fans a little glimpse at the couple\u2019s newlywed phase.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere’s just such a beauty in sex and intimacy with your spouse. That’s like it just breeds so much deeper connection [of] joy, love,\u201d Lydia shared. \u201cIt\u2019s literally life giving, like, literally, but it also is life giving as a couple. Like it, it does bring life into the world, but it also brings life into your marriage.\u201d<\/p>\n
