Meir Biderman, was severely injured, and one reserve officer was moderately injured by an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/defense-news\/article-896688\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">explosive drone<\/a> impact while operating in southern <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/defense-news\/article-896671\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lebanon<\/a> on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">An additional non-commissioned officer was lightly injured during the same incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The injured soldiers were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and their families were notified of the incident.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/defense-news\/article-896715\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">IDF<\/a> announced that, as Biderman undergoes treatment for his injuries, his position will be temporarily filled by the current Brigade Chief of Staff, Col. (Res.). H.<\/p>\n<p>Biderman\u2019s predecessor and the 401st Brigade\u2019s previous commander, \u00a0Col. Ehsan Daxa, was killed in combat in northern <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/defense-news\/article-896368\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gaza<\/a> on October 20, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>According to a Walla report at the time, Daxa was killed after his tank hit an explosive device.<\/p>\n<p>This is a developing story.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The IDF&#8217;s 401st Brigade Commander, Col.
