The ACT Brumbies are excited to announce the signing of Japanese international tighthead prop Wako Kitano, joining the club ahead of the 2026 Swyftx Super Rugby Women\u2019s season.<\/p>\n
The 26\u2011year\u2011old arrives with valuable international experience, debuting for Japan and earning 25 caps. Known for her powerful ball\u2011carrying and dominant physicality, Kitano scored four tries at the 2025 Women\u2019s World Cup. The prop shapes as a genuine strike weapon close to the try line, and her arrival bolsters the Brumbies\u2019 front row stocks.<\/p>\n
Kitano began her rugby journey at Kobe Kohoku High School before developing further at Ryutsu Keizai University, where she played until 2022.
