The veteran TV host didn\u2019t seem to realize his blunder at first, but later infused some humor into the situation and addressed it following a commercial break. <\/p>\n

The \u2018Survivor\u2019 Season 50 Finale Featured a Pre-Taped Episode and Live Segments <\/p>\n

\u201cSurvivor,\u201d which has been on the air for 26 years, returned to its original form as it wrapped up Season 50 on May 20. The finale featured a studio audience for the first time since 2019, and the winner was announced live. <\/p>\n

As the pre-taped finale episode aired, viewers also got to see check-ins with Probst and eliminated contestants throughout the night.<\/p>\n

Jeff Probst Accidentally Reveals That One Contestant Had Been Eliminated Before Viewers Saw It Happen<\/p>\n

Before the final fire-making challenge aired in the finale, Probst checked in with some of the contestants during a live segment. <\/p>\n

Even though viewers didn\u2019t know who had been eliminated during the challenge just yet, Probst accidentally invited the contestant on stage. <\/p>\n

\u201cRizo, you become the final member of our jury. Take a spot over here,\u201d Probst said. <\/p>\n

Rizo looked understandably confused, but took a seat with the rest of the jury members. <\/p>\n

Probst could sense that something was awry as the jury got silent and he asked, \u201cWhat just happened?\u201d<\/p>\n

A few members of the jury then informed the host that the fire-making challenge hadn\u2019t aired yet in the pre-taped episode. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not even sure what\u2019s happened,\u201d Probst replied as the show went into a commercial break.<\/p>\n

Jeff Probst Addresses the Blunder On Air<\/p>\n

After Probst got up to speed on his mistake, he addressed it with humor.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlright, so I love doing live television. So, in case you\u2019re confused, this is what happened. We were going to show you fire-making and then have the loser of fire making, Rizo, come out and talk about how charming he is and if he had practiced fire-making maybe he would have won,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The host went on, saying, \u201cInstead, we did a \u2018Survivor\u2019 twist. It\u2019s the last twist of the season. We called it, \u2018A peek into the future.\u2019 So now we\u2019re gonna watch Rizo lose in fire to Jonathan.\u201d<\/p>\n

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly<\/a> after the finale, Rizo spoke about how the awkward moment unfolded.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo my understanding was they were under the assumption fire already happened. But I was in the green room saying like, \u2018Wait, I\u2019m waiting for myself to lose here. What are we doing?\u2019 And Jeff\u2019s like, \u201cBring out RizGod!\u2019 And they\u2019re like, \u2018You\u2019re up.\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018OK, I\u2019m gonna work with what we\u2019ve got here,\u2019\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

Rizo said he proceeded to do \u201cthe best RizGod that I do at tribal\u201d and started \u201cplaying off Jeff.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd Jeff is talking about fire, and I was like, \u2018Well, I\u2019m not trying to reveal it, so win or lose, I\u2019m proud of how I played,\u2019\u201d he explained. \u201cAnd Jeff\u2019s like, \u2018Sit your ass on the bench.\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018Well, this is awkward.\u2019 But I think we recovered well. I made a little joke with Jeff live on stage, so I thought it was fine.\u201d<\/p>\n

After watching Probst inadvertently reveal the last member of the jury, a lot of fans took to X to share their reactions. <\/p>\n
