These were combined to create this final image.”

“The colors appear this way because each exposure used a filter to collect only very specific wavelengths of light, in this case around red and blue.”

“Having these separate exposures is important to study and compare stars by their colors — but it also makes asteroid interlopers very obvious.”

The Hubble team has released a beautiful photo taken by the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope of half of…

[7
35811,6797,1745,26627,85,46,3442,35812,141,35813,35814,26630,144,35815
0":"post-45330","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-science","8":"tag-barred-spiral-galaxy","9":"tag-esa","10":"tag-galaxy","11":"tag-hubble","12":"tag-il","13":"tag-israel","14":"tag-nasa","15":"tag-ngc-6000","16":"tag-science","17":"tag-sn-2007ch","18":"tag-sn-2010as","19":"tag-spiral-galaxy","20":"tag-supernova","21":"tag-type-ii-seyfert-galaxy
["GET
