Israel\u2019s drone threat from the North could soon reach Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, Yisrael Beytenu chairman and former defense minister MK Avigdor Liberman<\/a> warned during a faction meeting in the Knesset on Monday.<\/p>\n

According to Liberman, the government must \u201ccome to its senses\u201d and make \u201creal decisions\u201d rather than continue what he described as an unclear military approach in the North.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnyone who has not yet understood must understand that it is only a matter of a short time before we see those explosive drones in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem,\u201d Liberman said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI suggest that the October 7<\/a> government come to its senses and make real decisions. We must bring this to a decisive conclusion. We cannot continue to tread water and sacrifice our soldiers in the North without purpose,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

His comments came amid heightened concern over Hezbollah\u2019s use of explosive drones against IDF troops in southern Lebanon.<\/p>\n

Liberman also addressed Yashar! Party chairman MK Gadi Eisenkot, saying he respected the former IDF chief of staff and viewed him as a serious and principled figure.<\/p>\n

\u201cI appreciate Gadi. He is a serious and values-driven person,\u201d Liberman said. \u201cThe more people like him enter politics, the better and higher quality the political system will be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Liberman said that just as an officer must go through the ranks before becoming IDF<\/a> chief of staff, a politician should gain substantial government experience before becoming prime minister.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be chief of staff, you need to have been a general,\u201d Liberman said, noting that Eisenkot had served as Military Intelligence chief, Northern Command head, and deputy chief of staff.<\/p>\n
