They surveyed dozens of economists, AI experts, and \u201csuperforecasters\u201d about various scenarios, including one in which AI becomes so advanced that it can both write a \u201cPulitzer-caliber\u201d book and negotiate its own publishing rights.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">In the survey, most experts said that higher-ranking occupations\u2014CEO, administrative manager, senior official, legislator\u2014would continue to grow, even under the \u201crapid\u201d AI scenario. For most other people working a white-collar job, the forecast was murky.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Researchers are in broad agreement that AI is doing something to the economy and that whatever it\u2019s doing is very complex. Real numbers are hard to come by.
