St\u00e9phanie Pfriender Stylander is a New York-based photographer known for her fashion photographs and portraits of actors and musicians. Nourished by the rock scene and by the cinema of the Nouvelle Vague, the artist has developed, for more than forty years, a singular body of work, mainly in black and white.<\/p>\n
Over the course of her career, she has collaborated with the leading international magazines and produced images that have become iconic. Her eye has immortalized many figures from fashion, cinema and music, including Kate Moss, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.<\/p>\n
The exhibition Ceci n\u2019est pas une s\u00e9rigraphie brings together, for the first time alongside numerous black-and-white photographs, a selection of color photographs combining fashion images and iconic portraits.<\/p>\n
Through these works, St\u00e9phanie Pfriender Stylander captures the personality of her subjects with flair and spontaneity, revealing their strength, fragility and singularity all at once.<\/p>\n
