Cara Delevingne<\/a>\u00a0has spoken openly about her struggles with addiction during a recent podcast. The 33-year-old supermodel also admitted to selling some of her drugs and said, \u201cIt was at a pretty young age that I started buying drugs to sell them and to do them,\u201d clarifying, \u201cI wasn\u2019t a great drug dealer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cara Delevingne tells Alex Cooper when she knew her experimentation with drugs became a \u201cproblem\u201d<\/p>\n

In a June 3 appearance on the podcast Call Her Daddy, Delevingne\u00a0explained, \u201cI just wanted to fix other people, but had no concept of receiving love.\u201d The host, Alex Cooper, questioned, \u201cSo what happened at 15?\u201d The Paper Towns star replied, \u201cI was experimenting a alot with I think with hallucinogens at that time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGrowing up in London at that time, there was a lot of drugs, and ketamine was very big at that time. I loved what drugs made me feel. I loved not thinking about my mum.\u201d Her mother, Pandora Delevingne, is a former heroin addict who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and struggled with substance abuse while Delevingne was growing up, reports Page Six<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Delevingne described to Cooper how she realized her drug use had gone too far. \u201cI knew it was bad when I started doing them alone, how much I liked that and how much I knew that people weren\u2019t judging me. I didn\u2019t judge myself for it, and I could disappear.\u201d Adding further, \u201cI\u00a0knew it was a problem,\u00a0and that was beyond. But with work, it\u2019s not a problem because I\u2019m working, I\u2019m making money. I would be in a state where I\u2019d definitely be more f****d up than other people, but I am going to work.\u201d<\/p>\n

The model also expressed how her body \u201cjust couldn\u2019t take it.\u201d \u201cThe kind of\u00a0suicidal ideation\u00a0came back around when I was at my\u00a0height of fame, when I should have been the most happy, and I felt the most guilty. I felt like I didn\u2019t deserve any of it.\u201d However, she said music \u201creally saved\u201d her.<\/p>\n

The London-born star, in 2017,\u00a0has discussed how she \u201chated\u201d depression struggles in the past and felt she could now experience happiness. She said, as reported by BBC,<\/a> \u201cI want to have a farm, live on a beach\u2026 I want kids \u2013 I know I\u2019m going to have kids. I can\u2019t wait (to have) that love. Those are the boxes I want to tick\u2026 I haven\u2019t set times, they\u2019re just dreams.\u201d<\/p>\n
