After teasing plans to return<\/a> in a recent interview with Rolling Stone AU\/NZ, Evanescence have confirmed an Australian arena tour, set for 2027.<\/p>\n

The tour, in support of their new album, Sanctuary<\/a>, out today (June 5th), will kick off in Perth on March 5th, 2027, before stops in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane (see full dates below).\u00a0Following their Australian dates, the band will make\u00a0a stop in T\u0101maki Makaurau Auckland<\/a>.<\/p>\n

General on sale tickets will be available from 1pm on Friday, June 12th, following Vodafone<\/a>, Mastercard Australia<\/a>, artist<\/a>, and album presales from 12pm on Tuesday, June 9th, and Live Nation<\/a> and Spotify presales from 1pm on Thursday, June 11th. All times are local.<\/p>\n

Australian fans last saw Evanescence late last year when they joined Metallica\u2019s blockbuster \u2018M72 World Tour\u2019 as special guests, alongside a handful of intimate headline dates. Before that, the band celebrated the 20th anniversary of their landmark debut album, Fallen, with a dedicated Australian tour in 2023.<\/p>\n

Now, with Sanctuary freshly released, Evanescence will return for their biggest local headline shows in years. Marking Evanescence\u2019s first studio album since 2021\u2019s The Bitter Truth, frontwoman Amy Lee described the record as a project that had been taking shape for several years, with recent singles offering fans a glimpse into the band\u2019s latest creative chapter.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview with us<\/a>, she said: \u201cThe music is a release of the truth\u2026 music is my journal. It\u2019s always been that. If I always pour it out from whatever\u2019s on my heart \u2013 and there\u2019s so much right now \u2013 that there are going to be other people in the world that can relate to that and use that in their own way.<\/p>\n

The upcoming setlists are expected to span the band\u2019s entire catalogue, from Fallen classics like \u201cBring Me to Life\u201d, \u201cGoing Under\u201d, and \u201cMy Immortal\u201d through to new material including recent singles \u201cAfterlife\u201d and \u201cWho Will You Follow?\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n
