A man attempted to stab a Border Police<\/a> officer early on Friday morning in an attempted terror attack at the Western Galilee police station, Israel Police said.<\/p>\n

The man arrived at the entrance to the station around 5:30 a.m., emerged from his car, and charged toward a Border Police officer with a knife<\/a> in his hand.<\/p>\n

The officer was able to stop the suspect, a 23-year-old from the town of Jadeidi-Makr.<\/p>\n

The suspect was detained for questioning.<\/p>\n

Following an investigation, a decision will be made regarding a request to extend his detention in court.<\/p>\n

This attempted stabbing attack is not the only notable terror incident this week.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, a ramming attack<\/a> occured at the Gush Etzion Junction, where three civilians were injured, including two teenage girls who were taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Center for emergency treatment.<\/p>\n

The terrorist, a 30-year-old from Hebron, was killed by a soldier from the IDF’s Kfir Brigade.<\/p>\n

The soldier who killed the terrorist also provided emergency medical treatment to one of the wounded, saving their life, a spokesperson from the Gush Etzion Regional Council said.<\/p>\n
