Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s upcoming wedding has drawn nearly everyone in the Chiefs organization into the conversation. Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes are expected to attend. Chiefs GM Brett Veach would not confirm his own invite status. Now, head coach Andy Reid has weighed in, and his answer was exactly what anyone familiar with him would expect.

Kelce, 36, and Swift, 36, announced their engagement in August 2025 via a joint Instagram post. According to Page Six, the couple originally planned a June ceremony in Rhode Island but later rescheduled. The wedding is now confirmed for July 3 in New York City. “Save the Date” cards have already been sent to guests. The event is expected to draw celebrities, including Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid.

Reid addressed the question on June 4 during a podcast interview at 3 & OUT with John Middlekauff. Host John Middlekauff asked him directly whether his wedding invitation had arrived in the mail yet. Reid’s answer was short and deliberate. “I can’t talk about it,” Reid said. The host laughed and compared the secrecy to a confidentiality agreement, telling Reid that loose lips sink ships. “That’s right,” Reid replied.

Reid has spoken positively about Swift’s influence on Kelce before. He previously called her “a good girl” and said she “might be the most famous lady in the world.” Swift, in turn, has praised Reid on Kelce’s New Heights podcast. “I now know that he is the most iconic, legendary coach of all time,” she said. The connection goes further. Swift revealed that her father, Scott, and Reid are longtime friends, a detail that adds a personal layer to Reid’s expected presence at the July ceremony.

Andy Reid and Travis Kelce Share a Bond That Stretches Well Beyond Football

Reid has coached Kelce since drafting him out of Cincinnati in 2013, the same year Reid joined Kansas City from Philadelphia. Over 13 seasons together, the two have won three Super Bowls. Reid has described watching Kelce grow as a player and as a man over that span.

When Kelce’s contract future was uncertain heading into 2026, Reid told reporters he maintained open communication with the tight end throughout the process. Kelce ultimately re-signed for his 14th season in Kansas City.

Reid even previewed what a wedding speech for Kelce might sound like months before the engagement was official. “There are a few I can’t tell,” he joked on 96.5 The Fan in August 2025. “He’s done so many good things off the field, people don’t know about, just helping people out. He’s got a big heart that way.” According to The Mirror, Reid was likely to attend the July 3 event regardless of his connection to Kelce, given that his relationship with the Swift family predates the couple’s romance entirely.

The Chiefs will open the 2026 season on September 14 against the Denver Broncos. Between now and then, Reid will have attended one of the most-watched weddings in recent memory. Whether his tuxedo still fits remains, for now, an open question.

The post Andy Reid Drops Cryptic Answer About Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s July 3 Wedding Invite appeared first on Gridiron Heroics.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s upcoming wedding has drawn nearly everyone in the Chiefs organization into the conversation.…

[32
112801,458,16826,136395,146,85,46,47989,221626,40461,221625,2070,2071
post-477741","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-celebrities","tag-andy-reid","tag-celebrities","tag-chiefs","tag-denver-broncos","tag-entertainment","tag-il","tag-israel","tag-jets","tag-john-middlekauff","tag-patrick-mahomes","tag-robert-deutsch","tag-taylor-swift","tag-travis-kelce
["GET
