The mobile payment service is launching the Cash App Wand: an NFC-enabled, iridescent, star-topped wand that allows users to make on-the-go payments without pulling out their phone or card.<\/p>\n
Cash App\u2019s alternative differs in that it\u2019s more compact and uses a built-in NFC tag that pairs with an active Cash App Card. It comes with a keychain that you can attach to your belt or bag (provided you\u2019re not worried about it being snatched, though this obviously doesn\u2019t look like a card). The accessory is designed to appeal to teens, with Cash App noting that 1 in 5 teenagers in the US are already using its Cash App Card.<\/p>\n
The Wand is available for eligible customers ages 13 and up starting today for $25 through Cash App \u201cwhile supplies last.\u201d It works wherever Visa tap to pay is accepted and has built-in security features that allow you to lock or unlock it within the app, alongside real-time transaction alerts and 24\/7 fraud monitoring support.<\/p>\n
