If anyone was going to kick off Pride month, it would be the brat prince himself \u2014 The Vampire Lestat \u2014 and the Tony Awards. Both extravagant, both musical, both inviting applause, both airing on Sunday. One features rock-star vamps<\/a> and the other features the rock-star vamp<\/a>. But aside from vamps, there\u2019s the return of Cindy and Brenda, a trip back to the villa, and Amy Adams in a good project, thank God.<\/p>\n

For two seasons, AMC\u2019s Interview With the Vampire has been a somber, romantic, impressively layered series adapting Anne Rice\u2019s novel for a modern queer audience. In a new series, all that is blown up by moving on to Rice\u2019s sequel, which switches protagonists, writing styles, and tones. Now the focus is on the titular Lestat (Sam Reid), who deals with how betrayed he feels by former lover Louis\u2019s (Jacob Anderson) interview by starting a rock band and going on tour. Normal coping stuff. \u2014Roxana Hadadi\u00a0<\/p>\n

John D. MacDonald\u2019s novel The Executioners continues to bear fruit. This time, after the 1962 and 1991 film adaptations from directors J. Lee Thompson and Martin Scorsese, it\u2019s a miniseries from creator Nick Antosca. The general story is the same: An ex-convict (Javier Bardem) is released from prison and goes after the lawyers who failed to get him off years before (Patrick Wilson and Amy Adams). The southern-accent work alone will make this one a must-watch. \u2014R.H.<\/p>\n

Interesting timing for the Scary Movie franchise to come back just as people seem itching for fresh horrors<\/a>. But it is great to see Anna Faris and Regina Hall reunite. There are about ten years of new scary movies to skewer.<\/p>\n

A group of 20-somethings trying to make it in this job market, and we\u2019re not supposed to point at the television and say Industry? Mindy Kaling\u2019s new series follows postgrads as they navigate their work-life balance in Manhattan.<\/p>\n

No matter the quality, Jennifer Lopez in a rom-com<\/a> is enough to get people to at least consider pressing play. Co-written by Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein, Office Romance stars Lopez and Goldstein as an unlikely couple, a lawyer, Daniel Blanchflower, and his boss, Jackie Cruz.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Radio City Music Hall ceremony is hosted by the aerial gymnast (and occasional pop singer) known as P!nk<\/a>. You can look forward to performances from the nominees<\/a>, of course, even spectacles like Cats: The Jellicle Ball<\/a> and The Lost Boys<\/a>. Islanders, it\u2019s time to go back to the villa. If you felt left out of the thing all your friends were watching last summer, now\u2019s the time to start, because this show is on most nights of the week, and if you don\u2019t get onboard early, it\u2019s so hard to catch up. \u2014Kathryn VanArendonk<\/p>\n

The preposterously popular YouTube animated series The Amazing Digital Circus jumps over to theaters for its series finale: a feature-length edit of the last two episodes. The independent effort from creator Gooseworx and Glitch Productions is already taking off at the box office<\/a>. \u2014Eric Vilas-Boas<\/p>\n

Nothing like a wistful gay movie to get you in the mood for Pride. In Harry Lighton\u2019s feature directorial debut, Harry Melling plays Colin<\/a>, a lonely barbershop-quartet singer who crosses paths with a biker gang at a local pub. There he meets the hot and enigmatic biker Ray (Alexander Skarsg\u00e5rd) who draws Colin into his BDSM tastes. Pillion is too concerned with Colin\u2019s journey to be labeled as a rom-com, but it can be sweeter than you\u2019d expect.<\/p>\n

\u27bd Plus, Baz Luhrmann\u2019s EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert<\/a> is on Paramount+, Oz Perkins\u2019s Keeper<\/a> is on Hulu, and Pixar\u2019s Hoppers<\/a> is on Disney+. Busy weekend.<\/p>\n
