\n Hospital@Home, based in Salisbury, aims to reduce pressure on the NHS by enabling faster patient discharge and delivering complex, hospital-standard care at home across the South West.\n<\/p>\n
\n Supported by Healix Health, the service claims to deliver cost savings of up to 55 per cent for the NHS while improving patient outcomes by more than 23 per cent.\n<\/p>\n
\n Steve Carter, chief commercial officer at Hospital@Home, said: “Rising demand and increasing pressure on resources is presenting unprecedented long-term challenges in our healthcare system.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Providing additional capacity and greater choice for patients, Hospital@Home is a forward-thinking solution to addressing some of these challenges.\n<\/p>\n
\n “The service will help strengthen the NHS, not only easing pressure on hospitals but also offering flexibility and choice for patients in how and where they receive care \u2013 which we know can make all the difference in how quickly they recover.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Hospital@Home identifies patients suitable for early discharge and transfers them to home-based care, where they are supported by a multidisciplinary team including nurses, carers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, trusted assessors, and healthcare support workers.\n<\/p>\n
\n The team delivers personalised care packages backed by a 24\/7 nurse-led urgent support line and remote monitoring technology, all under GP oversight.\n<\/p>\n
\n Hospital@Home is led by Mr Carter and clinical lead Rebecca Williams, who together have more than 70 years of healthcare management experience.\n<\/p>\n
\n Initial interest has already exceeded expectations, and the service is making an immediate impact.\n<\/p>\n

\n The service has contributed to improved discharge rates, reduced NHS bed days lost, and the equivalent of an extra hospital ward\u2019s worth of capacity freed up every week.\n<\/p>\n
\n As the service expands, Hospital@Home plans to recruit an additional 30 employees for each new area it launches in.\n<\/p>\n
\n Mr Carter said: “We are already operating in certain parts of the South West, working within the local healthcare framework to deliver meaningful outcomes for hospitals and patients and are excited to shaping a progressive new service that is sustainable, flexible and built for the future.”\n<\/p>\n
