The new Boy Meets World<\/a> documentary Doc Meets World debuted at Tribeca Festival and revealed new details about the making of Girl Meets World, specifically one traumatic table read.<\/p>\n During an interview with Danielle Fishel<\/a>, producer Frank Pace talked about working with the show\u2019s creator Michael Jacobs and how he could be a \u201cnightmare\u201d to work with, per Variety<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cMichael was fun for me to work with because he was a challenge. He was a nightmare for me to work with because he was a challenge,\u201d Pace shared, before recounting the \u201cnever to be forgotton table read\u201d that marked the beginning of spinoff series Girl Meets World.<\/p>\n Danielle agreed that she had blocked it out, but then Pace recalled what allegedly happened that day.<\/p>\n He recalled, \u201cYou blocked it out because Michael was horrible. He just reamed all the young cast. He didn\u2019t think they upheld the tradition of \u2018Boy Meets World\u2019 and Rowan was crying, and Sabrina was crying.\u201d<\/p>\n Girl Meets World was a Boy Meets World spinoff series starring Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter<\/a> that aired on Disney Channel 14 years after the parent series from 2014 to 2017.<\/p>\n Danielle, who played Topanga on the main series and reprised her role on the spinoff, recalled telling Michael how passionate she felt about the show focusing on female friendship.<\/p>\n \u201cI said, \u2018If we\u2019re going to do a show that\u2019s about a 12-year-old girl, I don\u2019t want the focus to be about a relationship.\u2019 I was a 12-year-old girl who spent my entire life focused on relationships. And it didn\u2019t do anything for me. That didn\u2019t get me anywhere,\u201d she recalls, getting choked up. \u201cIt\u2019s not a good lesson.
