Natural sweetener startup The Sweet Change has raised Rs 1.7 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Rebalance, with participation from investors associated with IAN Angel Fund.<\/p>\n
Founded in 2024 by Manvi Agnihotri and Sheen Hitaishi, The Sweet Change develops monk fruit-based sweeteners as alternatives to sugar. Its products are formulated using monk fruit, allulose, and prebiotic guar fibre, without erythritol, artificial ingredients, or fillers.<\/p>\n
The startup plans to deploy the fresh capital towards expanding its distribution network, launching new products, and scaling its presence in the sugar alternatives category.<\/p>\n
According to the company, it has generated more than Rs 1.69 crore in revenue and fulfilled over 15,000 orders within a year of launch. It also reported an 84% month-on-month compounded growth rate over the past three months, with monthly revenue rising from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 50 lakh after the launch of its sweetener drops in March 2026. The company claims gross margins of 75% and says it ranks among the top sweetener brands on Amazon India.<\/p>\n
The startup operates in India’s sugar substitutes market, which it estimates to be worth over $650 million. It is building a portfolio of natural sweeteners aimed at consumers seeking to reduce sugar consumption without compromising on taste.<\/p>\n
Rebalance is an early-stage accelerator and angel community that invests up to $250,000 in pre-seed and seed-stage startups. Since 2019, it has backed 30 startups, with female founders accounting for 75% of its portfolio companies.<\/p>\n
