Foo Fighters<\/a> have officially kicked off their 2026 European tour \u2013 take a look at the setlist and fan-filmed footage below.<\/p>\n

Following a series of intimate UK gigs \u2013 including a show at Shepherd\u2019s Bush Empire\u00a0<\/a>\u2013 Dave Grohl<\/a> and co. have officially begun their European tour in support of their brand new album \u2018Your Favorite Toy<\/a>\u2018.<\/p>\n

The 2026 \u2018Take Cover\u2019 tour<\/a> includes two nights in Liverpool set for June 25 and 27, and will also include their festival appearances at Mad Cool<\/a> and NOS Alive<\/a> festival. Support across various dates will include\u00a0Royel Otis<\/a>,\u00a0Inhaler<\/a>,\u00a0IDLES<\/a>,\u00a0Otoboke Beaver<\/a>,\u00a0Fat Dog<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Die Spitz<\/a>. Now, the Foos have made their first stop at Norway\u2019s Unity Arena yesterday (Wednesday June 10), where they opened with \u2018All My Life\u2019.<\/p>\n

After playing crowd-pleasers such as \u2018The Pretender\u2019 and \u2018Learn To Fly\u2019, the band launched into an acoustic portion, which the band kicked off by playing \u2018Wheels\u2019. It was here that the Foos also brought back \u2018Marigold\u2019, the first time they\u2019ve played the tune since 2010.<\/p>\n

Grohl went on to play a solo acoustic version of \u2018Big Me\u2019, along with the beginning of \u2018Times Like These\u2019, before the song transitioned into the full band playing back as usual.<\/p>\n

After that, they went on to play a number of cuts from \u2018Your Favorite Toy\u2019 including the title track, \u2018Caught In The Echo\u2019 and \u2018Window\u2019.<\/p>\n

During \u2018Tap Dancing in a Minefield\u2019, Grohl also switched instruments with new drummer Ilan Rubin, so that Grohl was seated behind the kit and Rubin on the guitar. Fans of Rubin won\u2019t be surprised at his talent on guitar, as he played every instrument on his solo album as The New Regime<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After ending with \u2018Best Of You\u2019, the Foos returned to the stage for their encore, where they gave \u2018The Teacher\u2019 its tour debut and also played it for the first time with Rubin on drums. They rounded off their set with \u2018Exhausted\u2019 and their classic \u2018Everlong\u2019.<\/p>\n

Last April, the Foo Fighters released their latest album \u2018Your Favorite Toy\u2019, which\u00a0NME\u00a0gave 3 and a half stars.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2018Your Favorite Toy\u2019 is a few more tracks of that depth away from being the most vital Foo Fighters record since 1997\u2019s \u2018The Colour and the Shape\u2019,\u201d we wrote. \u201cFor now, at least, they have remembered that no-frills punk, played fast and loud, suits them much better than middle-of-the-road dad-rock.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is the Foos\u2019 first tour with former Nine Inch Nails drummer Ilan Rubin<\/a>, who became the Foo Fighters\u2019 new sticksman following the firing of Josh Freese.<\/a> Shortly afterwards,\u00a0Nine Inch Nails confirmed that Freese had rejoined their band<\/a>,\u00a0having previously played with them from 2005 to 2008.<\/p>\n

Rubin said playing with the Foo Fighters was an \u201cobvious great fit\u201d<\/a>, adding: \u201cAs far as I knew, my contract ended on a date. After that, it was, what am I doing next? And when this happened and the opportunity presented itself and it was just an obvious great fit and\u00a0a great thing\u00a0for me.\u201d<\/p>\n
