With their health data in hand, many Oura Members have been alerted<\/a> to changes in their biometrics, whether it\u2019s Symptom Radar<\/a> highlighting signs of strain or a sudden rise in resting heart rate<\/a> or average body temperature.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now, with a new connected-care experience within the Oura App, Oura Members can move more seamlessly from noticing a change in their biometrics to taking the next step with more confidence and more context.<\/p>\n

In partnership with Counsel Health<\/a>, Oura will surface the option to engage with Counsel\u2019s medical AI and licensed physicians, directly within the Oura App. You can move from \u201csomething feels off\u201d to getting clearer answers and easy access to high-quality treatment, all in one place.<\/p>\n

Starting June 16, this experience will begin rolling out in Oura Labs<\/a> to eligible Oura Members in 43 U.S. states.*\u00a0<\/p>\n

Moving from Health Insights to Action<\/p>\n

Through this partnership with Counsel<\/a>, Oura lays the initial foundation for a new era of connected care: an infrastructure that brings care pathways directly into the Oura App.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Counsel<\/a> is an AI-native primary care company that combines medical AI with licensed physicians, creating a seamless bridge from personal health insights to real medical care. You can ask Counsel questions about your health, receive personalized medical advice, and even connect with licensed providers within minutes, all directly within the Oura App.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

A Doctor Who Knows Your Oura Data<\/p>\n

To use Counsel within the Oura App, you\u2019ll share relevant Oura data with Counsel\u2019s physicians and medical AI. This includes biometric trends like sleep and activity patterns.<\/p>\n

Counsel physicians can view your Oura data and health context within their clinical workflow, including biometric trends in sleep, cardiovascular, and reproductive health. That added visibility can help physicians triage faster, ask better questions, and make more informed decisions without needing to ask about your entire health history.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

In other words, Oura helps replace a fragmented snapshot of your health with something closer to the full picture. \u201cThis is about more than surfacing health insights \u2014 it\u2019s about helping members take the next step with confidence,\u201d said Dr. Tanvi Jayaraman, Head of Clinical AI at Oura.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOura can now serve as a more convenient, trusted access point to personalized care, giving members access to connect with a board-certified physician directly from the Oura App. For Counsel clinicians, that same experience is strengthened by context: with member permission, they can see both point-in-time signals and the trends leading up to a visit, helping them deliver more precise care tailored to every member.\u201d<\/p>\n

In this experience, care is delivered in two ways:<\/p>\n

Counsel\u2019s medical AI can gather relevant context and answer initial questions.
\nIf you want or need a deeper level of clinical judgment or action taken, you can message directly with one of Counsel\u2019s licensed physicians in the Oura App.<\/p>\n

To help provide safe, evidence-based answers, Counsel\u2019s medical AI gathers relevant context and can offer initial advice with a higher degree of clinical credibility, but it does not replace human clinical judgment.<\/p>\n

This experience is not intended for emergency care or to address every aspect of someone\u2019s care journey. It is designed to support everyday medical needs and make the first step \u2014 and the next step \u2014 easier.<\/p>\n

Privacy Is At the Forefront<\/p>\n

With your consent, your Oura data is shared with Counsel. This gives their medical AI\u2014and any Counsel physician involved in your care\u2014meaningful context about your health over time, rather than a single point-in-time snapshot.<\/p>\n

Counsel is HIPAA-compliant and SOC 2 certified. Your data is encrypted and used by Counsel solely to support your care. Oura and Counsel will never sell your data.<\/p>\n

If you direct Counsel to disclose your data to Oura, visit summaries from Counsel\u2014including details like visit status, diagnoses, and treatment plans\u2014can be integrated into Oura so that you have all of your important health data in one place.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

How It Works<\/p>\n

First, opt into Oura Labs<\/a> to begin testing the Counsel integration.<\/p>\n

Once enrolled, you\u2019ll be able to chat with Counsel\u2019s medical AI at any time by tapping Connect to Care from the plus button on the Today tab, or simply starting a conversation with Oura Advisor.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Based on your Oura data and trends, Oura may also proactively suggest connecting to medical AI for deeper guidance \u2014 for example, when you ask for medical advice from Advisor, or if you get a Symptom Radar alert.<\/p>\n

Depending on the nature of your symptoms or concerns, you may decide to escalate your chat to a licensed Counsel physician.<\/p>\n

When you connect with a Counsel physician, you\u2019re getting medical advice and treatment from a board-certified doctor who already knows your story.<\/p>\n

The Counsel experience will begin rolling out in Oura Labs on June 16, 2026, to eligible Oura Members in 43 U.S. states.
\nIt is not currently available in Arkansas, District of Columbia, Kansas, Mississippi, Rhode Island, Washington, West Virginia, or Wisconsin.
\nMedical AI chat is currently included in Oura Membership. Visits and treatment from Counsel physicians will be subject to extra costs for physician care.
