{"id":489108,"date":"2026-06-12T10:49:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-12T10:49:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/489108\/"},"modified":"2026-06-12T10:49:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-12T10:49:10","slug":"steven-spielbergs-family-a-guide-to-his-7-kids","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/489108\/","title":{"rendered":"Steven Spielberg&#8217;s Family: A Guide to His 7 Kids"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Full disclosure: Steven Spielberg has a big family.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, the director of Disclosure Day\u2014which debuts June 12\u2014and his wife Kate Capshaw are parents to an expansive, blended family with seven children: Jessica Capshaw, 49; Max Spielberg, 40; Theo Spielberg, 37; Sasha Spielberg, 36; Sawyer Spielberg, 34; Mikaela Spielberg, 30, and Destry Allyn Spielberg, 29.<\/p>\n<p>Considering many of the kids have followed in their dad\u2019s famous footsteps by pursuing careers in Hollywood, Steven has been able to offer them some advice.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I basically say, &#8216;When you\u2019re going up to read for a part&#8217;\u2014my kids who are actors\u2014&#8217;don\u2019t expect to get the part,'&#8221; the Oscar winner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1432791\/why-steven-spielberg-wife-kate-capshaw-kids-believe-in-aliens?query=steven%20spielberg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer noopener noreferrer nofollow\">told E! News<\/a> at the Disclosure Day premiere in New York June 8. &#8220;&#8216;Go in there and just cut loose and let it all happen. Because if you expect or you\u2019re really hoping to get it, it\u2019s going to make you so self-conscious and you\u2019re going to be so nervous.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Given his workload, having a cast of kids wasn&#8217;t always part of Steven&#8217;s plot. It wasn\u2019t until he directed his 1982 movie E.T.\u2014which Drew Barrymore and\u00a0Henry Thomas starred in as kids\u2014that the filmmaker realized he could take on the role of dad.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Full disclosure: Steven Spielberg has a big family.
