To the Editor,<\/p>\n

Regarding your\u00a0article on ethanol conversion in the May issue of <\/a>The Connexion<\/a>, I got a kit fitted to my car last year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It is a GMC Yukon from 2000, so it was right at the limit for possible conversion.<\/p>\n

I had some issues with cold-starting in mid-winter (but I live in the Alps). It took two or three key turns, whereas it would start first time with petrol.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I also had some issues with the contr\u00f4le technique<\/a> as their machines did not register the change in fuel. I was advised to run the car on E98 once in a while, which I have done.<\/p>\n

I did not use an official fitter as the person in Grenoble was very rude and wanted to charge me twice as much as other quotes I had received.<\/p>\n

On the whole, I am chuffed to bits with the conversion. As you can imagine, it saves me a great deal of money driving a 5.3-litre V8 vehicle!<\/p>\n
